Facility Closures

Due to inclement weather, the following public facilities are closed through Monday, January 26. Closures could continue through Tuesday.

  • Lawrenceville Arts Center - Due to potential inclement weather, all LAC facilities will be closed Saturday, January 31 and Sunday, February 1. The facilities will remain closed through Monday.
  • HYRO Dog Park - Due to hazardous winter conditions, HYRO Park will remain closed until conditions improve.

The facilities will reopen once conditions improve.

Public Safety

The Lawrenceville Police Department has provided important updates regarding emergency services and necessary travel tips.

Emergencies

Call 911 only for emergencies during the winter storm impacts. During the winter conditions, Lawrenceville Police officers will respond only to life-threatening and weather-related emergency calls for service to ensure the safety of the public and our officers.

All non-emergency calls will be handled by telephone. Residents may wait until conditions improve to report any non-emergencies.

Safety Travel Tips

Please avoid any unnecessary travel. If you must travel, follow these driving tips to keep you and others safe when driving in icy conditions.

  • Slow down and increase your following distance.
  • Watch for ice on bridges and overpasses.

Important Information for Customers Using Electric-Powered Medical Equipment

Planning ahead is critical for customers who rely on electric-powered medical equipment. The steps below outline key considerations to prepare for a power outage.

  • Secure a backup power source, such as a generator or battery system, and ensure it is in working order.
  • Maintain extra medical supplies needed to support care during an extended outage.
  • Identify a relocation plan to a location with reliable power if service is interrupted for an extended period.
  • Keep emergency contact numbers readily available, including medical providers and caregivers.
  • Coordinate in advance with medical providers to understand outage-related guidance and contingency options.

While Lawrenceville Utilities works to restore service as quickly and safely as possible, uninterrupted electric service cannot be guaranteed. Customers who depend on electric-powered medical equipment should not rely solely on utility service for life-sustaining needs.
